We are incredibly proud to share that three of our alumni have been nominated for the NAPA Award 2026!

Madhiha Duynhouwer – Clove Film | New Producers Academy
Karim Mrabti – Mohsin Films | New Producers Academy
Terry Tao – Gentaoman | New Producers Academy

Since 2009, the NAPA Award has been presented annually during the Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) in Utrecht. The award celebrates and encourages emerging producing talent, while highlighting the important role of the producer as a creative entrepreneur.

Madhiha Duynhouwer was part of NPA’s first fellowship trajectory, the Class of 2022. During the fellowship, she produced De Jackies, which was selected for several film festivals and won Best Debut Film at the Netherlands Film Festival in 2024. She is the founder of Clove Film, a production company focused on intimate, culturally rooted stories with international ambition, spanning fiction, documentary and series.

Karim Mrabti was part of NPA’s Class of 2023. He produced Last Shot, which had its world premiere at IFFR in the Tiger Short Competition and has since been recognised at international film festivals in Italy, France, Ireland and the US. He is the founder of Mohsin Films, a production company dedicated to telling stories from the Global South and its diasporas.

Terry Tao, also from the Class of 2023, produced Reclaiming Dragons during his fellowship. The hybrid live-action and 3D animation short premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival and went on to screen at festivals across the Netherlands. Terry is committed to amplifying the Dutch-Asian creative community and increasing Dutch-Asian representation in film and media.

We are thrilled to see three NPA alumni among this year’s nominees, celebrating their talent, dedication and growing impact as producers.
